In 2009: Building of the year in Latvia, 1st Prize in the Renovation Category – the conversion of the building for hotel purposes.
In 2010: Interior design award of the year, 1st Prize for Hotel and Restaurant Neiburgs.
The hotel has been remodelled with great respect for its architectural heritage, taking care to conserve and restore the historical detailing of the interior finish – painted ceilings, old doors and parquet floors – wherever possible. The pierced metal decorations of the old ventilation hatch covers have been reused to hide the unsightly grilles of the air conditioning system, and the wall murals reference patterns from the historical tile of the stairwells. The complicated task of preserving the wonderful proportions and style of the Art Nouveau architecture of the building has come together with the desire to provide our guests with the greatest possible comforts and a true home away from home in the very centre of Old Riga – be it just a short stay to see a performance at the Riga Opera, a family city break or a prolonged business trip.
All of Neiburgs Hotel spacious suites are equipped with comfortable furniture, plenty of light fixtures to allow you to adapt the lighting to suit your mood, and well-appointed bathrooms, and have stunning views of the rooftops and church spires of Old Riga, and, from the upper storeys, even the Daugava and its bridges. The kitchenette and separate living area or even living room in each suite allow the guests to host their travelling companions or friends for dinner, or treat their family to a breakfast made of fresh produce from the Riga Central Market. Should you choose to eat out, Neiburgs Hotel restaurant offers wonderful meals, from sumptuous breakfast to sophisticated dinner.
Although Neiburgs is laid out as an apartment hotel, its guests are provided with full hotel service – daily cleaning and around-the-clock room service, laundry and dry-cleaning services.
The hotel has 55 suites in total – studio apartments, studios deluxe, senior suites, two-storey and two-storey deluxe suites measuring from 23 to 62 square metres. All suites are equipped with television and DVD, a comfortable desk, both wired and wireless broadband internet access, and an MP3 dock.
The library in the hotel lobby holds a collection of literature in various languages of the world, and will provide you with a chance to while away some time enjoying a book – with a cup of coffee right there in the cosy armchairs of the library, in the bar with your drink, or simply in the comfort of your own suite.
The hotel has a small gym and both sauna and Turkish bath; massage services are also available.
