Day 1, December 30th (FRIDAY)
Arrival in Riga, optional transfer to Hotel Radisson Blu Ridzene*****, check in, welcome meeting, optional welcome dinner at hotel.
Day 2, December 31st (SATURDAY)
Riga, founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert, is the largest of the three Baltic capitals and boasts a real kaleidoscope of architectural styles and by the end of December the whole city is preparing for a vibrant New Year celebration. The sightseeing tour of the Old Town includes a panoramic tour by bus and a walking tour in the Old Town including Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, the Large and Small Guilds and the Freedom Monument. The afternoon is offering several exiting optional possibilities:
· Visit to the ESPA – the up-scale six-floor spa has been uniquely designed to provide a relaxation experience for each guest. For your convenience the treatments has to be pre-booked.
· Visit to one of the concerts held in the frames of the annual winter festival in Riga.
· 3-hours visit to the Christmas Market on the Dome Square and guided shopping tour to boutiques in the Old Town
In the evening we enjoy an entertaining and fabulous New Year Gala at Restaurant “La Boheme”, taking us back to Florida in the 30’es and to the hilarious world of Sugar, Daphne and Josephine, welcome cocktail and canapés, 5-course American-style haute cuisine dinner, great entertainment program with live jazz and dance music, endless surprises, champagne at midnight, night snacks (Dress code: period costumes, black tie and evening gown).
Day 3, January 1st (SUNDAY)
After a late breakfast the first day of the new year is offering several exciting optional possibilities:
· Visit to the ESPA – the up-scale six-floor spa has been uniquely designed to provide a relaxation experience for each guest. For your convenience the treatments have to be pre-booked
· 3-hour excursion to the Lido Recreational Centre, a large restaurant and entertainment centre located in the largest blockhouse in Europe and surrounded by a lot of winter attractions. We enjoy a traditional self-service Latvian lunch before going back to the hotel.
· 3-hour sightseeing tour of the Art Nouveau district incl. coffee and Riga Black Balsam at Café “Riga”
The evening offers an optional farewell dinner at the hotel.
Day 4, January 2nd (MONDAY)
Breakfast, optional departure transfer to airport.
