Classical Baltic Tour, 7 days / 6 nights

A 7 day Baltic cultural tour which gives you the opportunity to discover the highlights of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. You will see Vilnius, Trakai, The Hill of Crosses, Rundale, Bauska, Riga, Jurmala, Sigulda, Cesis, Parnu, Tallinn.

Day 1: Arrival in Vilnius

Day 2: Vilnius & Trakai

    You will see: Vilnius Cathedral and its square, the University campus, Pilies street with the 16 – 18th century historical and architectural monuments, Gothic corner of Vilnius with St. Anne’s and Bernardine churches, the former Town Hall square, the Dawn Gate with a miraculous icon of Virgin Mary, the 17th century Baroque church of St. Peter and Paul.
  • Trakai Castle sightseeing tour & lunch time
    Trakai is the ancient capital of Lithuania is now famous for its 15th century insular castle housing an exhibition on prehistoric findings and 17 – 18th century applied art, the way of life of the Lithuanian Grand Dukes, and Karaites, brought to Lithuania from the Crimea.

Day 3: Vilnius - the Hill of Crosses - Rundale Palace - Bauska Castle - Riga

  • The Hill of Crosses in North Lithuania
    Hill of Crosses - a small hill covered with thousands of crosses has become a symbol of Lithuanian nationhood and deep religious faith. Since mid 19th century it has been the place of expressing gratitude to God for divine favors.
  • Rundale Palace & Rundale Palace park & lunch time
    Rundale Palace — the most beautiful baroque palace in the Baltics (18th century). The palace is an outstanding example of the early work of Italian architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli.
  • Bauska Castle
    The Bauska Castle consists of a fortress built by the Livonian Order in the middle of the 15th century, a forecastle converted into the Dukes of Courland's residence at the end of the 16th century and ramparts from the 17th-18th century.

Day 4: Riga & Jurmala

    During the walking part of the tour you will enjoy beauty of the ancient Hanseatic city, while strolling through the cobble-stone, pictorial streets of the Old Town. In Old Riga you will see 13th century St.Peter's, St.George's and St. John's Churches, a part of restored city wall and the medieval John's yard. You will walk to the heart of old Riga - the Dome Square - Dome Cathedral and learn about the famous 19th century organ - one of the biggest organs in Europe. The route also includes visits to the medieval dwelling houses "Three Brothers", 13th century St.Jacob's Church, 14th century Riga Castle, Convent Yard, The Philharmonic Square, the Saeima building, Jacob's Barracks, the Powder Tower and Smilsu street, the Swedish Gate (inspired numerous myths and legends).

  • Jurmala sightseeing tour
    Jurmala - the largest resort city in the Baltic States is well-known for its natural treasures-the mild climate, sea, healthy air, curative mud and mineral water and 33 km long white sand beach. In Jurmala you will discover a combination of charming wooden houses built in the beginning of the last century and modern resort buildings.
    You will enjoy a walk along the central pedestrian Jomas Street with its numerous cafes and souvenir shops and local amusemens and feel the typical Jurmala atmosphere, you will see Sea Pavilion, Jurmalas "Globe", Sculpture "The Turtle", Former Swimming Establishment of E.Racene and visit other places in Jurmala.

Day 5: Riga - Sigulda - Cesis - Parnu - Tallinn

  • Sigulda & lunch time
    Sigulda is one of the most picturesque towns in Latvia in the Gauja River valley, situated in the Gauja National Park and is known as the most popular tourist and leisure destination as well as famous winter sport resort in Latvia because of its bobsleigh track and the down-hill skiing routes. You will see the Medieval Sigulda Castle, Sigulda new Castle (Kropotkin Palace), Turaida Medieval Castle, visit local history museum, Gutmana cave, Krimulda Manor and other historical and natural objects.
  • Cesis Old Town & Cesis Castle
    Cesis is an ancient, little town placed 90 km from Riga and has unique medieval atmosphere, wonderful nature to be found around the town, interesting festivals and different recreation opportunities.
    Taking a walk along Cesis tiny streets, you will get a flavour of this medieval town, see St. John’s Church-the largest church in northern Latvia, Council House, Trader’s House, Harmony House and the Princesses House, as well as discover the magic of the Livs and Rose Squares. Guide will introduce you to the Cesis Castle complex and will show you the Castle Park that adjoins the Old Town where will see the Nut clan – Cesis oldest resident, - and its Castle mound.
  • Parnu
    Parnu has been the official summer capital of Estonia for 11 years! In fact, this resort city has been synonymous with sun, sea and beach for much longer than that – 170 years, no less.

Day 6: Tallinn

    During the tour you will see: view of the medieval city wall, front of Toompea Palace and seat of the Estonian Parliament. The Russian Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Dome Church (13th–18th century). The Town Hall Square and the outside of the Town Hall (14th century), the Pharmacy, St. Nicholas Church, the Holy Ghost Church and some Guild Houses from the Hanseatic period.

  • Kadriorg Palace tour
    The Kadriorg Palace and park were founded by the Russian czar Peter I. According to the designs of the architect Niccolo Michetti, invited from Rome, the Palace was built after the Italian villas, consisting of a main building and of two annexes.
    Afterwards you visit the Song Festival Grounds where national song festivals are held and have a drive through a beautiful residential area of private wooden houses drowned in greenery. You will visit the ruins of the 15th century St. Brigitta's Convent and see the Pirita Marina which hosts annual international regattas.
